Field Marshal Dedan Kimathi — Kenya Vintage Stamp Tee

Dedan Kimathi Waciuri led the Kenya Land and Freedom Army (KLFA) — known globally as the Mau Mau — in the guerrilla resistance against British colonial rule from 1952 to 1960. Captured in 1956 and executed in 1957, Kimathi became Kenya's enduring symbol of Uhuru (freedom), later honored with a bronze statue on Nairobi's Kimathi Street.
