Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti Vintage Nigeria Postage Stamp Sticker
Honor the Lioness of Lisabi. This vinyl kiss-cut sticker reimagines Chief Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti — the Nigerian educator, suffragist, and Pan-Africanist who led over 10,000 women in protest against colonial taxation — as a vintage Nigerian postage stamp, rendered in bold monochrome green with a fingerprint stamp motif nodding to her grassroots organizing power.
Born Frances Abigail Olufunmilayo Thomas in Abeokuta in 1900, she reclaimed her Yoruba name after confronting racism while studying in Britain, founded the Abeokuta Women's Union, forced the Alake of Egbaland to temporarily abdicate in 1949, and later received the Lenin Peace Prize for her international activism. She was also the mother of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.
A tribute to African socialist and feminist history for laptops, water bottles, journals, and walls. Durable, waterproof, UV-resistant vinyl.
Available in 3x3", 4x4", and 5.5x5.5" — kiss-cut for easy peel and stick.
